About Us

Texas State Optical was established in 1936 when the Rogers family opened the first TSO office in Beaumont, Texas. The Rogers shared their vision of TSO caring for the eyes of Texas to colleagues who had the same vision. Texas State Optical grew from one store in Beaumont to over one hundred locations of independent optometrists having a passion for eye health and competitively priced eyewear. 

Dr. Aaron Reneau is the current operator of the Texas State Optical Liberty after taking the baton from Allen Griffin, OD who operated TSO Liberty since 1986. Dr. Reneau was inspired by the TSO organization after working in the Mid County and Port Arthur Texas State Optical. He has been a TSO operator since 2011 when he opened his TSO Atascocita location. Dr. Reneau and his associate William Phillips are excited about providing quality eyecare to the residents of Liberty, Dayton, and the surrounding communities.
